There are times when it is appropriate to modify our standard products to meet your particular needs or develop a new enclosure from scratch. At Equipto Electronics, we make it easier for design engineers to get the enclosures they need for their particular application.
Modified Standards
Because of our modular designs, it is often possible to satisfy most electronics packaging requirements with standard parts. However, there may be a time when you need to meet a particular requirement. We’re here to help.
Assistance can be as simple as planning the proper panel space and accessories or as complex as multiple bay custom cabinet configurations. We provide services to modify our parts to meet your special requirements.

Industrial Design
Our staff can provide a very custom look for your product using industrial design techniques.
By starting with our standard frames and accessories and modifying particular features such as doors and panels, we can create a very custom look that will give your product a unique identity. Because we can start with our standard products, we can retain important performance features such as seismic hardening or EMI shielding and still create a dramatic product image.
Engineering Evaluation
We believe that, many times, it becomes almost impossible to determine exactly what type of enclosure should be purchased, or might be required, for a specific project or product. We further believe that a practical approach to this problem is to have a typical unit placed at the disposal of your Engineering Department for proper evaluation. In this manner, electronic equipment and instrumentation can actually be mounted in a given enclosure to determine, in the initial prototype stages, what type of enclosure will best meet your requirements.
Evaluation units are restricted to standard catalog items and do not include blowers, fans, or special or modified components unless specifically agreed to by the factory.
Engineering Evaluation units are available to your engineers upon application to our sales representative in your area. Units will be shipped to you, shipping charges prepaid. You may use the unit for 30 days, or longer, if necessary. After you have properly evaluated an EQUIPTO ENCLOSURE against your requirements, you may return it to us; your only cost would be the pre-payment of shipping charges back to our factory. Should you wish to purchase the unit, rather than return it, a discount of 25% may be applied against our published list prices.
When we offer you a typical unit for engineering evaluation, we expect that it may be returned to us scratched or damaged. If this did occur, you would entail no obligation to us. In fact if for certain evaluation purposes, like destructive testing, the unit may be damaged beyond repair, we will, upon proper application to the factory, extend to you written permission for destructive testing and final disposal of the unit at your facilities.
